Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Who has understood the mind of the Lord, or instructed him as his counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding? Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. -Isaiah 40:12-15I was reminded yesterday of God's very very awesomeness. Was early at CF and was feeling rather on a low and nervy cause I felt I needed to study, and I couldn't find time to do it. Cause we had only a small group yesterday, Sue Ting got a few of us to share. Very reluctantly, I agreed. Haha. You know I don't like, correction, (absolutely abhor) public speaking. But anyway, I thought, just do it. Was listening to Sue Ting's MP3, and the song was " Our God is an Awesome God" by Hillsong Kids (so cute!!!:) haha). That brought me to this chapter above. What is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? -Psalms 8:4And what I realised was that though God is just so so so awesome, great and indescribable, He still cares about the minutest details about us. He could have concerned Himself totally with His great and majestic powers and chose to spin galaxies and do other cool stuff, yet He chooses to hear our softly-spoken whisper. He hears our cry. And He cares. So so much. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; He gently leads those that have young. -Isaiah 40:11How mind-blowing. What I think is my set of problems can never be greater than God's greatness. Though I struggle with the 17 sets of Maths internal papers to finish (no kidding!), lots of self-studying for Chem and Physics that have to be done, (feel breathless already thinking about that, lol), I've got to keep my eyes on Him who is just so plain awesome!:), who will help me through. Got to go do Maths now...cheerio!:)

of cheesy movies and gross teeth
Suraya becoming a tiang lampu. Haha. (sorry, your face a little blurry) The Wildcats sprint out of the lockers, completely hyped up and energized after Mr Bolton's (their coach) emo speech of making the last 16 minutes on the court, in a Wildcat uniform count. Then they break into song and dance about '16 minutes'. Haha.
The atmosphere became quieter suddenly. The fans at the bleachers stopped yelling their heads off. Suddenly Gabriella in a white dress rises slowly from the bleachers, and starts singing to Troy, and he sings back. Then, they win.
Lol.
Yasmin ( an hour ago) : I can't believe it! We're going to watch High School Musical 3???? Suraya: Yeah, they're all kids!* :S * And yes they were. The whole cinema was full of kids, from 4-14 years in age. The oldest were the parents. And then, us. Haha.
Last Saturday, my housemates and I went to Pavillion/Bukit Bintang and we watched High School Musical 3. Lol. Well, It's a gazzzilion times better than the 2nd one, but still the 1st one is miles better. Suraya enjoyed it, after her initial scepticism :P Lol.
But it was very cheesy, I think, cheesier than the pasta we ate at Pasta Mania. Lol. (my brother watched it at Butterworth, and he liked it!!!!Lol.) but it wasn't that bad la, quite a few songs were quite good.
On a completely different note, (VERY VERY) do you wanna be a dentist? If you do, think twice!:P There are about 200 plus extracted tooths ( I mean, teeth) in this container. Haha. Gross or not? My brother needed these teeth for his practical, so my mum helped to get some from the dentist and soaked it in mouthwash. Cool, non?:P If you are freaking out, don't become a dentist! And to Suraya, Lynthia, Yasmin, Hanisah, Shawn, Chai Lian, Christine and all you dentistry people, hope this picture increased your passion for teeth!:P For me, I'm glad I chose medicine. Haha. Not that I won't see this, but I'll see more than these. :) Lol.. that's all for now, Cheerio!:) ps. Suraya!!! A lot of pics of you le! haha.. happy now?:P none barbarian-looking somemore...

Just wanted to post up some pictures here! We may look so cool like pro netball players, but aren't looks deceiving? Anyway, glad Suraya's wound is healing, no worries:) Her scar looks pretty cool too. Lol. I like this picture! We were practicing before the match..I think Yasmin took this picture with her new Samsung. Lol. Hanisah is the one jumping, our star player. (way to go, mei mei! haha) This is what happened one week ago when there was no water in KTT. (Illegal sandminers causes 3 main pipes to burst in Sepang -_-).Agnes and Li Yan were carrying the pail of water from one end to the other end of college. Desperate people in dire need of water do desperate things. Lol. The fire extinguisher was used to get water too, lol. This was in the student house, practicing for Sunday's worship. (the electronic drums are so cool!-Shawn, Chai Lian, Andrew, Daniel, Li Yan, Hui Fen, Christine, Eric, Sarah and Charles) I like this picture, haha. Reminiscing old days. (Chuah and Joel) We played Frisbee too. Very amatuerly. Haha. (The frisbee is somewhere out of sight, high in the air, lol) The KTT Worship Team praying before the praise and worship started. (Li Yan, Hui Fen, Andrew, Daniel, Sue Ting, Charles) This is a few of the CF members walking into Nilai College for combined CF last night. Nilai College is just. so. posh. (relatively). And their naan is so delicious!!! *sighs* That's all for now, cheerio..

Zombie-looking people with parched lips, croaking throats and feeble hands stagger towards the truck supplying much-needed, long-awaited water, with their empty pails dragged on the floor. Ok..I wasn't one of them, cause I passed by them in the car with Sue Ting, back to Taman Melawati, where waters abound and such a thing as kemarau is never heard of. :) Since Thursday, there was no water in all of Sepang and a few areas around it. ishhh.. But fortunately, we were offered to stay in the student house owned by Nilai Baptist, where there was a lot of water!:) The time there was crazy, fun, awakening, yet sobering at the same time. Lots happened, and KTT led worship in Nilai Baptist on Sunday! (good job, guys!) Will post up pictures later..it takes too long too upload pictures sadly, and I've got to go back to KTT soon (the water is back! Thank God). Cheerio:)

Netball can be a brutal game. Super bloody. And no, I am not cussing. Haha. It was literally very bloody. A few of us, Suraya, Jun Mei, Anis, Sheih Nee, Hanisah, Sue Ting decided to embarass ourselves and join the netball competition here at KTT. Haha, only Hanisah and Anis, plus Nadia later, actually ever played competitively before. Thus, it went something like this: *whistle blows* Foul! Gerak kaki! Body Contact! Etc etc.... And more whistle blowing. First day was bad, we lost 10-2. hehe..Hanisah was our only solace, scoring two goals, and..just playing superbly! (proud of you, small girl!) Second day was worst... Lets just say, Suraya is back home now with five stitches on her forehead, and I have a cut on my knee (though its nothing compared to hers!) Lol... get well soon Suraya! We'll get our revenge next year! :P I must be kidding. Cheerio:) ps. Happy Birthday Michelle! :) All the best in your coming year, glad God gave you as my cousin, and God bless!:)

It was really an experience of itself. And lol, I could be all jiwang and say something like :- “ this experience totally changed my perspective of the teaching career, my heart overflows with gratitude and thankfulness to all my teachers having poured so much of their lives, toil and sweat, not mentioning energy, just to bring the light of education into the darkest recesses of our uneducated hearts and minds.” Lol. But then Suraya would be haunting in the background, going all.."this girl ah..so jiwang, I told you so hahaha..” Thus, to foil that evil plan or wicked budding thought of hers, I shall proceed to tell my story, my perspective, in my own way. Anyway, jiwang or not, its in my words okay...so I don’t care la. Haha. Well, Last Monday and Tuesday, I followed a group of thirty-forty students or so to our very own sekolah angkat (yes, KTT has a sekolah angkat), for some programme called Pecut PMR or something like that. Anyway each of us were assigned with three students to tutor for the two days we were there. We did Maths on the first day, and Science on the second day. What we did was that actually we went through a few past year papers with our students, and taught them from there. (Goodness I almost forgot that we did PMR in 2005, so finally after like three years, I saw those same papers we sat for again). These students actually paid the school ten bucks for these programme, and they were those who had failed or barely passed Science and Maths for their PMR trials. The programme was actually aimed just to help them pass, not to score an A.
My students, (waaaa I sound so teacher-like, haha) were very weak in Maths. (if only Mrs Ng could give them a few lessons:P) Because their school was overpopulated, they weren’t given enough attention from their teachers, I guess. It was very exhausting teaching Maths because we had to go right to the basics to teach them again. And its draining explaining Maths for about seven hours. But it was rewarding because my students now can do Pythagoras Theorem! And they now know what’s locus.. :) (lol, I can go on boasting about them), but I just hope they got something useful out of it.
The second day was more relaxing, where we taught Science. While they were weak in Maths, their Science was much much better. But there was the language barrier, they couldn’t phrase what they knew into proper English words. These students have so much potential and they do have bright minds, but their problem with English was what caused their grades to slip. Now I actually do understand why some champion the cause of changing the teaching of Science and Maths back into BM again. Before this I was totally against it ever going back to BM because I just thought English is so much better, and I still do, but its like now I can symphatise with them because I saw with my own eyes that English was their main problem, not Science. I mean, one of my students could actually tell me how oxygen combines with haemoglobin all that in BM, (which is very very impressive), but when she tried in English, she couldn't. (I, on the other hand had a problem with teaching in BM, lol) The two days, I spoke BM non-stop haha, it didn’t help that I never learned Science or Maths in BM either. A few of us had the problem of finding the right words while explaining. Like my students didn’t know what concentration or saturation was, and I couldn’t find the BM word for it, (which was kepekatan or tepu by the way), so I launched into an explanation of what concentration was by using the analogy of orange juice). Lol. Other times it was something like this:
Daniel: Eh, Joanna, how to say wax in BM? Joanna: Er...lilin? Daniel: Then what about candle? Joanna: Lilin... Daniel: Then how do I tell them that a candle is made from wax? Joanna: Lilin diperbuat daripada lilin?
Haha. But teaching them was fun though...I hope they will be able to get something good for their PMR. Going back to KTT, when my friends asked me to do a question, I automatically started explaining in BM, haha. Old habits die hard. not that this habit was that old, but still.. Ok, pictures!:)
this is the school! Ms Syaza giving some instructions to us students studying atmosphere in the hall my students and I on the first day (From left: Fidah, Ayu, me and Fatini)

Help.... I can't study. Am at library now, got a class at 4 and was here since 2. Lol, and I just covered like four pages of Physics...ishhh...why does India want Physics? Why? Tell me why... If I stay in the apartment I will probably talk with my housemates, eat or sleep. Haha. At the library, with all the nerd-ifying atmosphere around, I should be able to study and absorb all about forces, upthrusts, tensions and goodness knows what, but instead I'm distracted by everything except my books. Its either Lynthia's sniffing and asking for tissues, stealing my purse, miss-calling me a dozen times...that girl ah.. Lol. Or we are bluetoothing pictures and asking Yasmin to try enjoy our Chinese songs. Gahh..must study must study, don't look up, don't get distracted by people laughing, etc etc.. Got distracted by this computer here as you can see haha. Ten minutes more to class... Anyway, I'll be going back tomorrow and then I can upload all the pictures to my computer (goodness, KTT people take like more than twenty pictures a day, or maybe its me, haha). Will blog about my sekolah angkat programme thing when I get back. Stay tuned... ;) Cheerio:)

feli's chocolate fountain party
Its always Feli's something..it was her barbeque last year, and yesterday was her chocolate fountain party!:) Excuse me for the rather blur pics, my Motorola V3i actually takes better pics than my family's Canon camera! So lesson to be learned, use the Motorola next time:)
'Tis the chocolate fountain!:) Elise, Feli and Joseph
Feli, Sha and Leow amazed and astounded at a flickering flame, (what on earth is Sha doing with that Sprite???) A group of us in front of a random house in Jalan A1?
Adrian's hand, offering money to (from right) Sha, Leow and Feli, who were pretending to be beggars, lol.
We walked to our old school and thats a few attempting breaking and entering:)
Circle of people playing Truth or Dare, lasted for like 3 minutes haha Then we baliked! Or at least I did. Haha, that's all for now.. Cheerio:) and Selamat Hari Raya, everyone!
