At last. =)
Many apologies for not updating for such a long long time. This is going to be quite a long, long update for the few bloggables over the space of two short weeks.
First up,
feskott
This has to be the most meriah event to shake KTT- a sports week, with a lot of sporting events leading up to the big day itself. Every evening I couldn’t really watch the other events as I was stuck in the DU for ping-pong, which has to be the most un-happening sport ‘cause the contestants=spectators=umpires.
Mixed-doubles team. At least we get cute miniature ping pong bat trophies.=)
Anyway, I managed to watch the volleyball final between the Blue Knights and Stingers. Was really rooting for the Knights, ‘cause most of them were my classmates and they worked really really hard for it. Sadly they lost, but they’re still superb I think, esp Lee Chin, who won the Best Volleyball Player.
*past forward to the day itself*
First thing in the beginning of a terribly scorching day was Larian Mesra which I couldn’t really believe i actually joined. i put in my name for fun but I didn’t aim for anything since I know I have like, zero stamina. Haha. My goal was to finish the 3.5 km without stopping, and if I reach there running, I die happy. Lol. After beginning, I counted like ten people ahead of me, so I though, ok la, try keep it at top ten. So poooffftt….reached the stadium and realised we had to go one whole more lap around it, really felt like panciting already, but takkan start walking when the destination is so near right, so just push, push, push, until the finishing line. Was happy with an 8th place, which meant a medal.
Now for more pictures:
The Blue Knights khemah which went through a lot for the Octopus to go up. Lol.
Seahorse designed, painted, made by Syiao Wei
Haha the Red Matadors looked like Mickey Mouse or English Soldiers wannabes..but quite cute la. Sorry.
Yeah, I was focussing at the butt. Haha.
Some poyo people.. Don’t kill me Mei Mei=P

The Olahragawan- Keshan.
Proud of the 4x400m Blue girls, they ran great and won gold.
Cut the long story short, Red Matador won overall. –_- As usual.
birthdays
Pranks are getting more and more frequent for birthdays.
Attire to greet birthday people.
Prank underway.
Starch, water, Coke. Lol.
There are a LOT of people who are March babies- I have no idea why. Jun Mei masterminded the mass kidnapping idea for an evening where 7 of them have to be blindfolded and brought to the cafe for Secret Recipe cake and pizza. Haha, Lynthia, Agnes and I kidnapped Li Yan. Her reaction was super funny but I better not write it here, because she definitely WILL kill me.
A few of the March babies. The look so saintly here. o.0
earth hour/ how to prepare for Pre-AS
Pre- AS or not, Earth hour did go on. Lynthia bought candles and we lit up the balcony with it. Pretty pretty.
'
After sembang/ walk walk at the cafe for the hour, the night was not over yet. it was Li Yan’s birthday so how could it be over right. Pranksters should be pranked.
Combination of 2-3-A2 and 2-2-A2 results in a wet Li Yan.
After that, still not over. The Czech girls pakated with us to kenakan the Czech guys. But they were a little to smart, sadly.
Partner in crime.
Ammunition.
Targets.
Even after that, it was still not over. We splashed the apartment under us and Suraya in a fit of a week-long torture of abstaining from evilness, exploded and our neighbors next door got the full force of it. Hahaha. Great way to de-stress before exams.
ISM Conference 09
The International Student Ministry Conference at First Baptist Church, PJ seems more like for internationals studying here, but I think it was good to prepare us before leaving the country, though one year away.
Opposite Nilai C.
Worship Team.
Afternoon at Sunway Pyramid for an assignment which we didn’t really know what we were supposed to do…
So we ended up taking a lot of group pictures.
The van broke down at night in Nilai and gosh, pushing vans up and down hills are seriously good fun at wierd hours of the night, trust me!
So to sum it up, basically what I heard consistently throughout the conference especially from the international students’ own experiences about leaving home was on dependency on God.
Sometimes we don’t know why some things happen, or why some things are as they are, but many times these stuff that happen is actually God drawing us closer to Himself. Though it may seem so scary many times, being in a change, a transition, or new beginning, maybe in a new place, or circumstance, we are to trust, not doubt in God, let Him work in our lives, take His rightful place as King over every area.
Got a lot to learn there.
Take care.
